Establish a huge parking lot at or near the base of Park Avenue and run a shuttle bus, or several of them, up and down Park and Main, with a side depot for the Deer Valley development. Citizens agreed that this is the obvious answer to the impossibility or moving heavy traffic through the narrow uptown canyon, especially in the wintertime. This solution has long been considered. Mr. King went further Into the future and suggested that a big department store at each end of Main Street would assure foot traffic all the way up and down the boardwalks. He showed and detailed maps of each of the developments, and made a very favorable Impression upon the group. Citizens present expressed themselves as well pleased with prospects of the future economy of the community through the development by Royal Street.
