Show News Notes from Kamas Valley Don and June Jones dren, Fran, Gerald and Bart of Stiff night guests of his mother, Mrs. Georgia Anna Jones, Friday. Mark and Becky Crandall are horns from California for a while. Mark is on leave from the Service, and they are staying with his parents in Peoa. Dari and Marjorie Beal were in Kamas Tuesday afternoon. They are living in California. Lorene McNeil spent a few days last week in Ft. Worth, Texas, at the home of Bob and Marilyn Zleve, to attend the wedding reception of Cared Zleve. Craig Beal and his family of Boise, Idaho were visitors of his grantfea rents, Mr. and Mrs. Orald Lewis over the weekend. A Memorial Day turkey dinner was enjoyed at the home of Walter and Reva Anderson, Those present were the families of Jimmy and Janice Crystal, Arzy and Wilma Crystal, Jim and Maxine Long and Jim's parents of Salt Lake, Billy and Diane Siddoway, Betty Johnson, Arnold and Christine Crystal and Doug and Audrey God- over the Memorial Day weekend. He is stationed at Ft. Ord, California. Eddy Dahl is home after spending about a month InDelb and chil- of Moreland, Idaho were over- frey. Connie Carpenter of Logan spent the weekend at her parents, Merle and LaRue Carpen- ter. Louise Wilde and children spent Monday in Pleasant Grove visiting with her sisters. Jackie and her three boys came back with Louise to spendafewdays. Myrtle Pitt was an overnight guest of Johnnie and Belva Johnson Thursday. The occasion their son was to Johnnies birthday, and they had a Mg family dinner. Friday, they brought Myrtle back to Kamas and had dinner with her, and did some vis iting with friends and relatives before returning to Salt Lake. Rex and Margaret Page and girls, Debbie and Kathy spent a couple of days last week at Flaming Gorge. Debbie and celebrate Kathy caught their first fish, and they were really excited and proud. Saturday dinner guests at the home of May and Sig Glnes was her sister and brother-in-laMr. and Mrs. Rulon Lewis of Heber City. A few of our lucky towns people were among 2,000 boaters to enjoy the fun and thrills of the Friendship Cruise, the le rugged boat trip down the Green River and up the Colorado. Those who went were Alan and Sheila Lewis, Glen and Mary Smith, Dell and Kathy Gordon and Farrell and Kay Atkinson. Dee and Glenda Thomas and son Terry Dee of Ferron were home over the weekend. Mick and M arvel Stevens hosted a family outdoor barbecue Saturday. Guests with their families enjoying the day were Doug and Tean Simpson, Tom and Karen Simpson, Bob and Mickle Siddoway, Keith and Barbara Prescott, Dee and Glenda Thomas and son, den-do- n and Wanda Miles and son Bart, and Emery and Brenda George. Gordon and Verlie Taylor drove to Roosevelt Saturday to decorate the graves. Then they went on to Rangeley, Colorado and by Grand Junction, into Green River where they spent the night, returning home on Sunday. Sunday evening, they called their son Jay in Whittier, California. He said everything was going Just fine, and they had six baptisms in May. Sorry to report that Kim Kumagal is in a Salt Lake hospital. Hope she will soon be well and back home. Wilford Lewis is back home again. He has spent some time in Michigan with his son Wilford Jr. and his family. Athel Fitzgerald, grandson w, and Alb Hoyt, ten Friday for Okinawa. Spec. 5 Ron McNeil was home working. Dale and Mima Leavitt had the pleasure of having two of their sons and their families home over the weekend; Lynn and Lyn of Alpine, Wyoming, and Jack and Carol of Provo. They golfed and visited while here. Morlln and LaRefo Van Tas-se- ll and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Cooley and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Atkinson went to Price over the weekend. Gayleq and Gay Pace and daughter Glorl Lyn are home for a couple of weeks. Gaylen has been stationed In New Jersey and is being transferred to Ft. Worth, Texas. They will be here until June 13. Whiz and Sally Sweeney and Mary Sweeney came home from Las Vegas last week. Bill came Thursday. They all attended Whizs daughter Marys high school graduation, and wedding. Bill and Mary will be moving back permanently Into their home here in Kamas real soon. Bob and Karen Roberts and family of Salt Lake visited Saturday with her parents, Ned and Elaine Prescott. Robert Ure, son of Ed and Jean, graduated from the BYU, majoring in Animal Science. He and a friend, Don Chapman have left for a trip to the coast. Robert has enlisted in the Army Reserve Corps, and will go to summer school until he is called to enter the Re- serves. John and Martha Lambert enjoyed having visitors during the day Saturday. Thora Lambert and two of her sons and their families, Kay and wife and nine children and Eugene and wife and their four children. They also had Aurelias two children with them. Also visiting were Dr. John and and seven children of Summit Park, and Ruben and Sharon and their five children. Richard and Echo Ryan took a real nice trip over the weekend. They went to Zions, Bryce and the Grand Canyon and also to Page, Arizona and Lake Mr. and Mrs. David Williams and family. She flew to Salt Lake and spent a little while visiting at the heme of another daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Goff. She reports that the Alma Goffs have sold their home in Salt Lake and will soon be moving to Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Max Will lard, Mr. and Mrs; Robert McGregor. Mr. and Mrs. Gary McCormick Mr. and Mrs. Pjwc Toole and their .children days of camping at the Flaming Gorge camp ground. They had a very enjoyable time fishing and enjoying visiting. On the way home they stopped at Vernal to visit the Dinosaur National Monument and museum. Mr. and Mrs. Robert McGregor had the Max Williards for dinner and visiting on Mem- orial Day. The Roy Thackers have moved to the Diamond Bar X Ranch for the summer. The Thackers reside in Bountiful during the winter where Roy coaches at the Viewmont Jr. High. Mrs. Hazel Lefler was happy to have many friends and relatives visit withher on Memorial Day. Mr. Jack Johnson and wife took her to visit the Woodland Cemetery after which they stopped and visited at her home. Bert and Nettie went from Salt Lake to spend the week end at Francis. Bert became ill, his son Dale took him to the LDS Hospital to find out he had pneumonia. NetteF Simmons who was off months with a back Jf ' halwo!??only got again. After consulting a specialist she found out she is suffering with a blood disease, where the Mood is filled with dye, which causes very severe headache. Mrs. Virginia Brown Lab and Wally and of Salt ne er. d Mr. and Mrs. Iyle Sears of Salt Lake were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. TedHal-la- Retta Whlcken and son of Delta spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Lazenby. Saturday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bates and family were Mr. and Mrs. Bernice Bristol and LaVon, of Sue Bell; Mrs. Hilda Malr and family, Mrs. Dennis Malr and son, and Mrs. Bond of Coalville; Mrs. Bob Bates, Salt Lake; Mrs. Erma Wade and family, and Mrs. Peggy Far-r- er and family, and the Dean SUes and family, all of Heber. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bates and Jerry spent Sunday in Sue Bell at the home of Bernice and Sylvia Bristol and family. Carla Prescott and girl friend of Logan spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chancy McNeil. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Woodard and family of Ogden spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Woodard. Anna Lee Broadhead and Mrs. Kelly Atkinson spent Friday shopping in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mitchell had their family visiting over the weekend, Carol and Mr. and Mrs. Vick Mitchell and family of Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lazen- by of Tabby. We are proud of the boys who took part in the High School Rodeo this past weekend. We also want to say congratulations to Rex Crystal. He was named, All Around Cowboy. Mr. and Mrs. Gall Stevens of Ogden spent Saturday at the home of Walt Prescott, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Johnson. Mrs. Clara Mitchell spent the weekend visiting in Ogden with Mavis Price and family, and at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Keyes. The whole family attended the exercises after which a day of visiting was enjoyed. Mrs. Alene Case of Salt Lake City arrived at the homo of Mrs. Edith Carllle on Thursday and spent several days visiting with her. On Saturday, she and Edith went to Heber with John Carllle and spent the day there, returning on Sunday evening. Mrs. Zelma Pace has return-hoafter several months visiting with her children. She left last November and accompanied her son, Gaylen and family to New Jersey. After spending some time with them there she flew to California where, die visited with a daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Max Nunley and a son, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Alexander.
