The Andrus sisters Marilyn, Dene and Irene sang a beautiful song and Dene talked of her mission. Forty members ' of the Mitchell family met for a dinner on June 15 in honor of Clifford Mitchell, son of Sam and Edna who left June 18 for his basic training in San Diego, Calif. The family received letter and he Is doing fine except he is homesick. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle (Connie Simpson) Nowling of Cheyenne, Wyo. are proud parents dta baby girl born June 22. She weighed 7 lb. 6 os. No name has been decided on yet. They have two little boys, Blaine and Gerald. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Perry Nowling, Henefer and Mr. and Mrs. Marv Simpson, Marion. Mr. and Mrs. Marv Simpson have had Doyle and Connies boys this pak week, and win take them back to Wyoming some time this week. Carmen Simpson and her daughter Linda of Magna and her niece Cathy Youngfrom Tucson, Arizona spent Sunday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Marv visiting them on Sunday 'were friends from Magna, Mr. and Mrs. Vem Newman. Young LuJean Darcey was honored at a birthday dinner at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Darcey on Sunday. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith, Mrs. George Fisher and Miss Lisa Page from Salt Lake City who stayed over for a three-da-y visit. R was LuJeans seventh birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Harv Vernon of Hood River, Oregon, visited overnight with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vernon. OnFrlday morning Mr. and Mrs. Bry Vernon of Salt Lake drove out to enjoy breakfast with the group. On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vernon attended a family reunion in Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Darcey spent Saturday evening visiting in Salt Lake at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gene France. The South Summit Stake Scouts and Beehives are goingto have a spaghetti supper at foe Town Park Friday, June 27. Visitors last week si the home of Tim and Lydia Carpenter was their daughter-in-laCarolyn and son Cam-rof Carbondale, DL Lydias niece Cecele Cole of Sandy was also visiting with them. They went to Park City golfing and rode on the Gondola, and also rode up to Mirror Lake. w, on Rooda Holton had a birthday party June 20. There were 14 boys and girls present to help celebrate her fourth birthday. Games were played and pop- sides, balloons and suckers were given to all the children. Gary and Linda Kirkham are proud parents of a baby girt born June 18 at foe Heber hospital. She weighed 7 pounds D oz., and will be named Annette. . Mrs. Bud Turnbow and daug- hter, Carolyn were visiting with friends in Wanship Sunday afternoon. Gladys is head over the school lunchprogramatRoy Junior High SchooL She has held this Important position for the past ten years. The Turn-bo- w family left Wanship when the road took their home and property and have lived In Roy since Hut time. Mrs. Ellen Pace has returned to her home in Wanship following surgery at the LD6 Hospital in Salt Lake. Mr . Fay Bates returned home following a very enjoyable three weeks touring Europe with his son, Allan, who has been stationed in Germany with the Army. Allan met his father in London. They drove to Stuttgart, Germany, and from there' they attended the International Air Show at Paris, France. They visited the French and Italian Rlveria, Monaco and Switzerland. Allans parents are anxiously awaiting a visit from him in July. He is expected home by July 4. Young Kayla Vernon spent several days visiting with Denise Juluson in Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Gibbons have been enjoying a visit from their daughter, Virginia and her two young sonsfrom Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Buzz) Smith and Mrs. Alice Horn of Orange, California, drove to Salt Lake to attend the funeral of Jo Longson. The party then drove to Wanship to visit with Mr. wnd Mrs. Roger Smith and son, Stephen. Roger and Roma were hosts at dinner for foe group. D was a most enjoyable family reunion, especially since Mr. Smith was seeinghis grandson for the first time. The pageant was held at HiUcrwst High. Even though she did not place, she had a great experience. Mr. and Mrs. Dari Beal received word that their son Vernal wUl be coming home Monday for 15 days, after which he will return to the hospital in Denver for an ear operation. Also Mrs. Beal and Rebecca motored to the Unite Basin Thursday to attend a bridal shower. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Best received word that their daughter Loralee has received her BJS. degree from Utah State University. Loralees husband, Gerald Crittenden also has his Masters degree. Gerald and Loralee are now living with Cliff and Ruth Crittenden. When school starts in the fall, they win both teach in RoosevelL Stanley Best has been appointed to a new position. They have now added foe Unita Basin to Ms district. He is now coordinator of the Eastern Utah Seminary District Mr. Best taught Seminary for 25 years in Kamas and has been in Price for eight years. Mr. and Mrs. Emery George have moved to Palasade, Idaho where he is Scout Master of a large group of Scouts. Emery and Brenda are foe daughter and of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Black. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Butlers children were home Sunday. Mike and Steve were here to talk in church and Vera sang a solo.
