If as adilreasetl ami known generally write it, this article would not appear here. Somebody in the Kama Valley is giving me a bad time. Several months ago I was aeeitaed of speaking slightingly about Khiiihs jampli ever television. Now people who should know better suggest that I wrote a letter to the editor which was published here two weeks ago. This letter waa signed and mailed from Kamas. It was not a healthy, neighborly letter, and I let it lie for aeveral weeks. Then late one night, in the throes of the change-ove- r in our method of printing, somebody said: "Here's a letter to the editor which will fill that hole on Page Three. We filled the hole with the letter. I do not believe the residents of the Kamas Valley are malicious than residents of any other community. more any said I think they are the finest people I know, and so to a hundred jmtsoijn, and I have told dozens that if we didnt live in Morgan I would rather .live in the Kamas Valley than anywhere else. Still, those, who should know better continue to give me a bad time. Every small eommunity is subject to a certain amount of gossip. The prevailing religion has alisolutely nothing to do with the little huinaif failing of repeating tidbits, in Minnesota this writer would have alluded to the Swedish Lutherans; in Host on tb the Irish Catholics; in Iowa to the Methodists. Probably the victims of gossip in Japan say the lliuldliists should he ashamed of themselves. To suggest that Mae wrote that letter is ridiculous. 1 would have had everything to lose, nothing to gain. Aa far as I know, nolmdy in the Kamas Valley has anythiug nasty to gossip about me . . . certainly nobody brings the baby for mo to "set with. And if I wrote in that style our office walls would not be filled with n plaques. To be honest and wimible, why the hell SHOULD I Vrite a letter like that T I may lie ignorant, but Im not MORGAN, UTAH FOK RALE register- Hereford Bulla. Contact F,WCelt Henefer Ph. They had attended a wedding In Salt Lake on Friday. The circus came to town Saturday arternoon, anyway It came to the home of Jerry Ovard son of Mr k Mn Ralph Ovard, aa he greeted guests who arrived to help him celebrate his 6th birthday. The party theme was a circus one much to the delight of Mary Beth Fawcett, Becky Stephens, Marilyn Jones, Karey Dearden, Robert Passey, cousins, Arlin and Deena Ovard and slater and brother, Marva and Gary. March is a birthday month for the entire Ovard family, so on the 14th ice cream and cake were enjoyed at the home of John and Ellen Dearden in honor of Gary's birthday with Ralph,-Joye and family being present along with LaNae and Everett Ovard and family and Oeorge and Violet Ovard. Marva was the guest of honor on the 23rd as ice cream and cake were served to all those previously mentioned and by Vaughn and Afton Dearden and girls of Provo who joined in extending birthday wishes. 9369090.
