Show Mountain fuel Suggests Pipeline i HMBITCl WANTED-Maintena- to a natural gas pipemountain from over the line Bountiful to Coalville. Dr. Wesley T. Maughan said the proposed line over the Wasatch Mountains is only one 25-m- ile of several possibilities proposed and that he was appearing before the commission, not for approval, but as part of an .environmental impact study. He informed the commissioners that a single line through Ogden Canyon supplies all the gas for the Wasatch Front area. He added if there were ever an earthquake in that area, natural fuel would be cut off completely. The line would transport natural gas from underground storage tanks, located in Coalville, to Bountiful where it would hook onto the main line. The line, shown through maps to the commissioners, is the shortest route between the two points, according to Dr. Maughan. He said this shortest, route i Woodland News Friends and family of Ells- worth and Eva Gines met in Provo Canyon at the Rotary Park to help Ellsworth celebrate his birthday on July 18. Fifty-ni- ne family members were there to wish him well on his natal day. Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Gines that their daughter Janean and family are doing well, during their stay in Germany with the Armed Forces. Janean sent her parents a picture of her new little daughter which weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was born July 3. The baby will be blessed and given the name of Lonnie Janean. The Hallsother little child stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Price, cousins of Janean who are stationed in Germany also. Herb Bushell is home again after quite a long stay in the Coalville Hosp itai. Friends were happy to see him able to be up and around a little and able to go watch the Fiesta parade. The Bisel home was a spot of visiting and happy times over the weekend as many of their children were home to spend the weekend. Mrs. Rose Lefler spent several days last week staying with her sister in Provo. Her sisters husband is in serious condition at the Utah Valley Hospital and Rose has been trying to help out where she can. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Clyde of Ogden spent some time over the weekend visiting the Mont Fitzgeralds and attending some of the Fiesta events. LaNaes Aretha mother, Mrs. Lloyd has also been visiting with the Fitz- geralds. It has been raining in Woodland for the past two weeks and everyone is worrying ami walking around with furrows in their brows, wondering if they will ever be able to get all of this moldy hay put away and a new crop started. It has rained daily for quite a few days now, and no one has to worry about watering their lawns as they are just like wet sponges. is being studied closely because it costs about $200, 000 per mile to build a pipeline. The line would only affect a small portion of county -- owned land; so the commissioners reserved their reactions and advised Dr. Maughan to talk to Bountiful City about the pro- posal. Mr. Maughan said the study should be completed in about a month and a final decision would be made at that time on where the pipeline would go. or 801-745-38- 30-2- 06. by day or week. Call 3.
