Parley Brown of Hoytsville has recently been promoted to the rank of Captain in the USAF. Capt. Brown is a pilot assigned to the 7th Military Airlift Squadron at Travis flying the jet transport. His flying C-1- 41 assignments, since completing pilot training at Vance AFB, Okla., have taken him to many areas of the world. Brown was recently awarded the Air Force Commendation medal and cited for his work as Squadron Training officer. While in college, Capt. Brown met and married Laurie Mann from Danvers, Massachusetts. During these 18 years, I served 6 years as Chairman of the County Commission. Further, I have served as Secretary, Vice President and President of the Utah State Association for County Officials.
