Show Hikes, Studies, Prizes, Programs, Clean -Up Defails Comprise Very Successful Summit Another successful Summit County H Camp was held July 4-- 12, 13, 14 at with about 260 members, leadSmith-Mooreho- use ers and friends' attending. Lilly Jean Atkinson acted as Camp Mayor and Cindy Crittenden, Secretary. 4-- H Council Members in charge of camp were Albert Wagstaff, Kamas, and Edna Atkinson, Oakley. Two special leaders from Utah State University added a variety of interesting activities at camp. Carl Johnson, Extension Forester, had a very complete nature display and conducted nature hikes and studies. Doug Hawkins, a recreation major, led out in many exciting relays along with a tug of war across the creek, which ended with most everyone beingpulled through the cold water a num- - Hoytsville News Mrs. George Winters spent the week end in Salt Lake City visiting with her sister Leora Lee and niece Dorothy Bowen. Mr. Reed Brooks returned home after spending two weeks at the University Hospital and is improving satisfactory after undergoing surgery. We all wish him a speedy recovery. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Brooks were Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Webster and family of Sandy and Mr. and Mrs. George Phillips and family of Salt Lake City. Bobby W. Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Young of Belmont, Calif., is visiting with his aunt, Mrs. Wanda Spriggs and his grandmother, Mrs. Agnes Young. He piloted his own plane from California. President Brown and his wife, Thelma and two grandchildren, Kimberly, and Gene attended the parade on the 24th in Salt Lake. Mrs. May Pace accompanied them and enjoyed it very much. Nellie and Chauncey Crittenden were pleased to have the Ward Youth Council visit with them and present a fireside program. Those present were Bishop Osmond, Mary Brooks, Lola Staley, Paul Brown, Charlotte Judd, Kathy Houston, Brenda Rees, Sally Sargent, Denise Hobson. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Beard were speakers at meeting Sunday. They have recently returned from a New Zealand mission. Cindy Crittenden was youth speaker. Mr. and Mrs. Denny Sargent of Morgan visited Monday with his mother, of Coalville. Miss Linda Durfee, the new Extension Home Economist in Wasatch County, was with us as she will be working in the Kamas and Park City areas of Summit County also. Mrs. Sharlene Anderton took charge of the campfire programs and awards assemblies and announced winners as follows: Nail Driving, first-B- art Johnson, boys; Christine Carter, girls; Verdell Pace and Bonnie McCormick, leaders. Mr. Argyle should be cautioned to keep in condition for this race because we believe Edna runs it at least once a day to stay in shape for the annual event.
