Show Ronald Maxfield New Director of Local Utah Power and Light Ronald S. Maxfield, a veteran of Utah Power 15-y- & ear Roberts, Ted Foster and Paul Staples of the Summit County Soil Conservation District and Arvin Anderson, Kendall Rockhill and Dallas Schumann of the Kamas Valley Soil Conservation District attended a meeting in Heber, Feb. 17 concerning a Resource Conservation and Development project for the Mountainlands, (Summit, Wasatch and Utah Counties). Light Owen Company, has been appointed Park City district representative for the utility. William R. Cunningham, Salt Lake division manager, who announced the appointment, said Mr. Maxfield succeeds Clair D. Boyle who has been assigned to Rexburg, Idaho, as customer ' ; service manager. In his new position Ron will be responsible for company operations in Park City district, includes Devils Slide, Henefer, Coalville, Peoa, Oakley, Kamas, Park City and surrounding areas. Ron began work with the company in 1957 as a helper with Salt Lake Service. This movie was made in Box Elder and Cache Counties where an RC and D is in progress. Resource Conservation and Development projects (RC&D) help local people to take better care of their natural resources and at the same time make better communities. RC and D projects organize local people into committees that initiate projects, both rural and urban for the betterment of everyone. Local people with public agencies assisting run the projects and keep them going. If a project is approved, special funds may be available to carry out projects, either as grants or as a lost cost loan.
