They enjoyed dinner with Governor Rampton and Mayor Gam and his wife and Mr. and Mrs. Bracken Lee. Also the president of the American Cancer Society. Beth Casper, Crusade Chairman was unable to attend as she was ill. and Rae Frazier and family of Salt Lake visited in town with friends and relatives. Dick Primary officers and teachers went out on the Penny Drive, which was very successThe ful. They want to thank everyone who so generously donated to this worthy cause. and Bernice Wilde and her sister, Grant and Marie Vernon have gone to Arizona for a couple of weeks. Emery Jack Crandall is home from the hospital ami feeling fairly well. Bill ' have Franson is getting stronger and f e e 1 i n g better every day. Gail Siddoway is in a Salt Lake hospital resting after having surgery on Thursday. He is getting along real weU. Hope to see him home before long. Ken Rogerson of Salt Lake, along with five other people, presented Sacrament meeting Sunday. Ken and some of the others sing in the Tabernacle Choir. They aU gave talks and sang several musical numbers. Noemi Valenzuela has received her mission call to Spain. She will leave March 11. the excitement in Oakley these past few days has been the film producers from BYU making a film in our area. They have been using one of the school buses and the hearse in making this film. (Don't be alarmed. The hearse is a needed mode of transportation.)
