Division of Fish and Game pilots flying a specially equipped plane stock mountain lakes that are Inaccessible to fish planting trucks. Most of the lakes are In the Uinta and Bould- er mountain areas. Over a half million fry and flngerllng trout are scheduled for aerial plantlngthis summer. Fish and Game pilots have already stocked several of the 107 lakes scheduled for stocking In 1970. Most of the fish stocked are cutthroat and brook trout. Fish stocked In high mountain lakes by airplane usually take two to three years to reach catchable sise, and such lakes are generally stocked on a cycle set for each water-normevery two or three years. The fish now being stocked will provide fishing for anglers In future years. The Division began Its aerial fish stocking program in 1955, replacing the tedious and expensive pack strings and milk cans. Aerial stocking has since proved to be a cheaper and more effective method of planting inaccessible lakes. ally Kennecott is people ...people who spark ideas Ideas built Kennecott and for more, than G5 years Kennecott has grown with people whose imagination and practical ingenuity have brought about change, improvement and advancement.
