PARK CITY, of Utah physicists -w- orking with a gigantic but intricate detector deep in an old silver -sity uncovered evidence suggesting the existence of another highly elusive and ic particle mysterious of nature. They say if their first clues are supported in future experiments, me more elementary particle can be added to the nuclear zoo of cosmic rays, which already includes protons, electrons, neutrinos, muons and hosts of other less known high energy particles. And this new partlcle-- if if does indeed exist-m- ay give physicists a better understanding of the forces of the universe. The Utah neutrino experiment is providing us a peek into the future, said Dr. Hurof the California ray Gell-MaInstitute of Technology while on a recent visit to the University campus.
