The other day at Pine Bluff, Wyo., on our way back from Canada ve stopped at the little cafe for breakfast. First thing we noticed was a Trophy case with all types of trophies in it most of them motorcycle racing Jumping and stunt trophies. Nothing unusual about this except the fact that they were won by an eleven-year-oboy. Im wondering if he will ever draw a social security check. On the of .the case too large to be placed inside was the national drag racing championship trophy'. Do you suppose it was won by tho eleven year old boyi dad? But I started to tell about people going out of their way to make someone happy. We were in need of a bale of hay and 10 farmers were there, each of whom offered me a bale but as it had been raining for two weeks no way could be figured out to get out to the fields where it was stacked. As we went outside a police followed us out, took us back down the road to where some hay was stacked on a gravel side street and told me to pick out a bale. I offered to leave a bill with him to pay ill. the man who owned the hay Or ve could go to Hawaii. but he was sure the fellow If ve could afford it. And if would not accept it. Here it is in unedited entirety. MacO Today I have wrote a speech. Generally I have my speech up here, (point to head) The reason I have wrote this speech is, if you want the newspaper or radio or television to use your speech you have to give them a copy. Look at audience and tell funny Joke. Be careful what Joke you use, there might be a holdover democrat in the crowd. Walt for applause to die down when it nearly stops hold up hand for silence. My tremendous success has been because of my modesty and ability to remain silent and listen to other people. My wife woke up and said she thought there wasaburglar in the house. I dont think there are any in the house, there might be some in the senate. Generally I give eryempor-anlo- us talks. Extemporanious is a big word forme buttheSpeak-i- r of the House said It would ae very impressive. He said mother word to use was fiscal responsibility. Governors also use U. I asked several of the representatives what it meant and they did not know. Finally I asked a newspaper man and he said when is was used by politicians it did not mean anything. I dont use comas or periods because someone is always trying to delete them before they spread it on the Journal. Some people use the word aint and misspell other words to try and make folks think they are hicks. I dont have to try. Its hard to change a man. My mother used to change me but only when it was necessary. Politics can change men too. To get in politics you go to the court bouse and pay a filing fee. It is a tax on politicians. To build a larger tax base, they started primary elections. If you are lucky and lose out lc the primary you dont have to buy posters, bumper stickers, and handbills and can remain honest. Some men go to Congress, others get caught. Some get caught after they get there. You have to be smart. 'Take sip of water and continue. Politics has done a lot for me. My wife did not realize what a Jewell she had until other women started making such a CHURCH NOTES The Coalville Ward Relief Society will hold their Homemaking Meeting July 13 in the Stakehouse. lesson will be on Methods of sewing waistbands and a cake decorating demonstration will also be given by Leora Robinson and Buelah Braith waits.
