The boys and their parents have worked very hard to earn enough money to make this wonderful trip They have served banquets, sold beautiful quilts, made by their mothers, sold Scout 0 Rama tickets and light bulbs. Many of the boys acquired Jobs and worked to earn their money. The boys were very happy and excited as they presented a short program before leaving. At 5:30 the fire siren was sounded to gather a crowd to bid them farewell. R. J. Walker conducted and Raymond Lewis announced that Mayor Cord en Taylor, also coun cil member of the High Uintah Boy Scouts, would speak. Gorden gave the group much to think about as they take this cross country tour. He asked the boys to repeat the scout oath and live it while on this trip, and to be a good example for the community, church and expecially the Boy Scouts. President Thomas Lefler of the Stake Presidency gave a short word of encouragement to the boys, and said the Stake Presl dency wished them a good trip. Some pictures were taken, and the group told their parents goodbye, then loaded into the three station wagons prepared for them, with signs, tin cans and the whole works and left with Marshal Bud Pitt leading the group with siren ringing and horns honking. The group will camp out while they are traveling. They plan to stop on their way home and see Niagara Falls and then in Miss ouri and see all the things that pertain to Church History of the L.D.S.
