So what happens to the chickens after they care caught? From the way the kids were loving them I doubt that many ended up In the stew pot! The professional show put on by Eugene Jelesnlk was outstanding! There was a twlrler in tights and a cute girl singer, an excellent western band and a midget who whistled with his belly! At least that's what it looked like to me, you'd have to see it to believe it, but everybody loved him! The battle of the bands, a new addition this year, featured the best of the latest type music for the youngsters. Three bands lined up and played their loudest and their best. If the oldsters didn't quite appreciate the music the youngsters did, for the stand was packed and plenty sitting on the grass. Winners were the 'Amboyds', boys from right here in the county with ' The Purple Explosions' second and 'The Shadows Edge third. Of course the carnival was running all the while and mamma give me a quarter seemed to be the cry of the day. One of the most popular spots was the tent where Janeil B. was sketching. Her nimble, talented fingers make people come to life on paper, ln a way that leaves most of the : spectators envious. She has been very busy this summer, 'sketching ln Salt Lake, Park City, and around. The most unusual Job she has ever tackled came Satur day when she was asked to sketch the man who whistled with his belly. The rodeo's both furnished their fair share of thrills, chills f and spills and the dance brought I everything to a grand climax. i Members of the Fair Board and all department heads were anxious to express their thanks and appreciation to everyone who helped. To the Sheriffs Posse who directed traffic, took tickets, registered parade entries, and helped in a million different ways. To the ladies who helped with the home arts registration. To those who helped with each of the different features, to everyone who donated so many hours of their time to assist in making this Fair such a successful one.
