Show STATE HEALTH REPORT The general health picture of the State is encouraging with a total of only 522 cases of communicable com-municable diseases reported tc the State Department of Health for the week ending March 17 this is 67 cases fewer than was reported for the previous week. For the corresponding period one ' year ago, a total of 1020 cases were reported. It is also encouraging to note that there are no new cases of typhoid, diphtheria nor smallpox reported. Kane County reported one case of meningitis; the patient is a bov, 15 years of age. One case of malaria fever was reported from one of the Governments Govern-ments hospitals. So far this year a total of 7 cases of marlaria has been reported All cases were contracted con-tracted outside of the state. A total of 168 cases of influenza influ-enza was reported 158 of these being reported from Salt Lake County. From all indications it appears the epidemic of influenza is waning. One hundred and nine cases of scarlet fever were reported however, how-ever, this is 13 fewer than waa reported re-ported for' the previous week, a |
