Show THE BULLETIN A Message To Every J'erson In The Southeast In The Interest Of Sugarhouscs Future WESE LIVED THROUGH ANOTHER SEASON SPRING this year means more, than the beginning of a new season. It means the birth of a new era. Were not kidding ourselves into thinking that the slightly crazy days of 28and 29 have returned, or are going to return. But we do know that from all sides come cheering reports of men going back to work ... of some of those 10 and 20 (and even more) pay cuts slowly being balanced with raises in pay. We do know that hundreds of families have found it unnecessary to be on relief . . . that the number of business failures not only in Sugarhouse, but throughout the country, have been the lowest since 1920. We are proud of the way Sugar-hous- e citizens tightened their belts and worked all the harder during the past few years. But, we are even prouder of the way they are taking these unmistakable signs of recovery with a smile, but with no slackening of their steady pace. The merchants who have signed their names below have always had confidence in the future of Sugarhouse. This page is only one way of telling you that they know that confidence has not been misplaced. |
