Show No Place for Eddie "pDDIE was a clerk in a retail store, but the sad part of it is that Eddie was an inefficient and ofttimes discourteous discourte-ous clerk. One day a customer noticed that Eddie wasn't present and asked about him. "He's just not working here any more," the proprietor said. "Got anybody in mind for the vacancy?" asked the customer. "Nope," responded the r proprietor, "Eddie didn't leave any vacancy." There's no place for the Eddies now because days of competition have returned.
