It would be much more convenient if those who thus use the water, would leave a fair portion of it runing down the ditch so that those who desire can obtain it for culinary purposes. We have among us ev5ry few months, men culling themselves sewing machine agents, who ride in nice spring wagons, drive good houses, wear fine clothes, smoke cigars and live high, generally; and do you know who pays for all this? You can say in truth, it is those who patronize them. Now, as Dixieites generally have worked hard for what little wo have, we ought to make the best, possible use of it, and not patronize such men, but buy direct from the manufacturers. man-ufacturers. If you desire a good sewing machine you 'an save about half by calling at Wm. Atkin's house in 1st St George ward, where you can see as fine a machine ma-chine as any made, with all attachments attach-ments known for sewing machines, and . he will tell you where and how to send, and by so doing you will save money and hav no dunning agents after you, either, f - T'f -' l'. j J.
