Show Ida Walker, daughter of C. L. and Abigail Walker was born in St. George, March Gth, 18G5, was married to Arthur Miles July 11 1888 is the mother of 6 children, 1 of which preceeded her to the Spirit World, she dieing on De- comber 20, 1897. The funeral services were held in St. G orge Tabernacle December Decem-ber 21, and the speakers were elders eld-ers James G. I31ek, Thomas Judd Thomas P. Cottam, David H. Morris Mor-ris and Edward H. Snow, each of whom had known sister Miles nearly all her life, and as a girl, a wife and a mother her life has been an honorable one. She has been kind and affectionate in all conditions of life, and it was truly said that although we do acknowledge acknowl-edge the hand of the Lord in this sad bereavement, yet we would be unnatural were we not to weep under these trying conditions. We siucerely condole with brother Miles who is left with a family of 5 small children who need a mother's moth-er's care, the youngest being but two weeks old, and may he who feeds the sparrows comfort and bless biOiher Miles and his family and prepare them to meet the loved ones when the trumpet of Gabriel Khali sound. |
