Show CORRESPONDENCE Delamar, May 15, 1896. Editor Union: There was a man buried here on the 11th, -who died from what is known here, as the Delamar fever. fe-ver. There are 30 new eases of sickness reported to-day and there is one man who is not expected to live. His complaint is pneumonia. Everything in general, is otherwise other-wise moving along quite favorably. There is plenty of work, yet there are many idle men. There are about 300 laborers working for the Delamar Mill Co., including miners, carpenters &c. The works cover over five acres of ground. They had one crusher and have since added two more. The largo crusher only weighs twenty tons. They had three old Griffin Mills and have added one new one. There are about fifty hands at work at Frank Wilson's-Mill, Wilson's-Mill, and I understand they expect ex-pect to start the mill about June 1st. The Boarding house established b.y Joseph Price, is patronized to its utmost capacity, and there would be ample patronage for another, if somebody would open one. Yours, Pelage, |
