Allen was pleased to be counted worthy to bo a member of tho Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-dfi v Snints. He desired to live in a way that he will be worthy of eternal life. Spoke of the faith of the saints anciently and if we would live as we should we would be nbla to call upon the Lord and he would answer our prayers. He exhorted all to be faithful that God might bless us more abundantly. abund-antly. Wm. Atkin said that we all have an object in all that we do, even in coming to meeting, that we may gain spiritual strength. We need to search ourselves and seo if we are what we profess to be, see if we I are keeping the commandments of God, as we know them, we say that we have received the fullness of the Gospel as restored to the earth in this dispenation, and we know of what we speak, and if we do not live up to this knowledge, we will be held accountable for our neglect. We are called from many nations and peoplo one of a fanii-a fanii-a ly and two of a city, and we have a great work to perform, not only for the living but also for the dead who passed away before they had an opportunity to hear the gospel. Bishop Andrus endorsed the remarks re-marks of all the speakers, gave some general advice, and felt to bless the people. |
