Miller had John Averett arrested Saturday for assault and battery, alleged to have been committed com-mitted at the place of said John It. Miller on April 16th. The case was heard by Justice Westwood, and dis-inised dis-inised at defendent cost. Mr. Averett retaliated by swearing out a warrant for Mr. Miller's arrest for using us-ing profane, slinderou and abusive language to his wife and children. Mr. Miller was brought to trial at 10 o'clock Monday, which resulted in hia being sent to the county jail for eighteen days, to pay the fine and xot of the case.
