WANT ELECTRIC LIGHTS BY INCREASED MAJORITY Last Thursday night the second sec-ond mass meeting of the electric elec-tric light series wa9 held at the meeting; house. Mayor Johnson John-son presided as chairman, and Councilman Boyer acted as secretary. sec-retary. The meeting attracted a much larger crowd than the previous one, and showed, among other things, that the electric light people were increasing in-creasing in numbers. Mayor Johnson made a report of his investigations, which showed briefly that the water power in Spanish Fork canyon would develop sufficient strength for 4,000 lights, and that the expense of building the plant would be about $32,000. He furnished quite an array of facts and figures which will be printed as soon as possible. A vote of the assembly showed the people to be still in favor of bonding, by an increased majority. ma-jority. It was decided, however, to endeavor to get Spanish Fork interested in th affair if possible possi-ble to the extent of a half interest. inter-est. .Failing that, Springville will go it aloue. Nothing has been done as yet toward the special election necessary. So far as has been learned 'no intimation of Spanish Fork's feelings in regard to the matter has yet been received. The subject has been discussed down there, but to just what extent is not known. A WASHINGTON WOMAN LOVES AT LONG RANGE Pa yson, March 15.
