New type, the best of paper, and superior illustrations are being secured in order to make the work tlrst-class in every particular. As the work is a very expensive one, it is necessary that the whole edition of 1,000 copies be subscribed for as quickly as possible. The annual meet ins of the School B.anl of Springvilie district No. 1, was held Monday at 10 o'clock, at the Central school building. The annual reports of the school board were read and salaries for their services voted rix-y were ifiven SluO each, or 4300 in all, which wa the same as allowed last. year. The icports showed that there were JO primary and 7 grammar grades in tin- district, with 14 teachers 4 male and 10 female. There were 1120 children of school ajff, from G to J8 year old, enumerated in the district lat year; 1003 were in attendance at the public schools, and 100 in private schools, leaving only 17 children of the school age in the district who weie not enrolled. The Saratoga Springs will soon have another attraction. Abbott Brothers, the Mississippi river boat builders, are at work on a naphtha yacht of about ten horse power that will be owned by the management of the springs. The boat will be forty feet long, of twelve feet beam, and will carry 100 people. It will be propelled by two screws and is expected to in ike aimut fifteen to twenty knots per hour. Its home will he at the Saratoga Springs, where a fine pier is being built, but piers will also be erected at Geneva, the Provo resort, and perhaps other places on the shores of the beautiful Utah lake. No doubt this pleasure craft will he most popidar, and the management 'of the springs is to be congratulated for its enterprise. A Wonderful Cure.
