An interesting interest-ing program was executed. Indeed the day was one of unalloyed pleasure and recreation. During the afternoon after-noon there was a brief time of excitement excite-ment that kept everybody jumping ideways for a few minutes, especially the mothers of the - host. A sudden j ! hunder-storiu came up accompanied by a gust of --wind and win. when a large number were Jin bathing. The thunder rolled, -and made the solid earth tremble; the lightning gleamed and rent asunder the clouds, and the rain poured in drenching torrents. It sec rued to those pn - shore that all in the- aagry-waters would he drowned. drown-ed. Mothers ran - up aod down, hollowing hol-lowing for the youngsters to come ashore, and the mea dashed into the boiling surf to the rescue. The blast was over and. gone in less time than it takes to tell it, -and no person was injured. There were some amusing incidents during the brief fury of the strom. Mothers called frantically to their children, but could not be heard two rods. One distracted mother asked the proprietor why he didn't have a megaphone on hand for such occasions In answer the excited man sprang into the angry waves to the rescue, It took two stalwart yout hs to save one of the beauties from the enveloping elements, while one was sufficient to rescue the less favored with Beauty's charms, while the plainer ones were able to regain the land without assistance. Mght Was Her Terror. 'I would cough nearly all night long," writes Mrs. Chas. Applegate, of Alexandria, Ind., "and could hard-ygeta hard-ygeta iy sleep. Finally we moved to Busque county, our present home, and one day I happened to see an advertise ment of Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Ilemedy with a testimonial testi-monial of a man who had been cured by it. The case was so similar to my own that I concluded to try the remedy. rem-edy. The result was wonderful.
