State Association Will Hold No Camp-Fire this Year. - The council of administration of the state association of Veterans of the Black Hawk war held a meeting in this city last Thursday to consider the advisability of holding a state campflre this year. As only three of the dozen counties entitled to representation repre-sentation were represented, but little lit-tle business could be done. Tbe counties aud representatives- present were: Washington John I). Pearce. Waatch William McDonald, Geo. Carlisle. Utah R. E. King. M. L. Pratt, J. H. Noakes. A. S. Warren. Waltej Wheeler, T. A. A great many excuses were sent by veterans, the principal one being be-ing that this being the lmsy season of the year they were unable to leave their work. Many are getting aloug in years, which was also offered as an excuse. On account of the small representation rep-resentation it was decided to postpone the selection of a place for a state campflre Jfor another year, and the secretary was directed to notify the various county organizations to that effect. The county associations were also urged to hold annual camptlres, thereby aiding in keeping up interest inter-est and the spirit of comradship during dur-ing tbe declining years of the veterans veter-ans of Utah's early Indian wars.
