For Sutton it is all about the success of students, not just her own, but all children. "It is a privilege to know and work with Sandy Sutton. Sut-ton. She begins each and every day with a smile on her face and in her heart. She is a wonderful example . of what a teacher should be. Sandy exemplifies the expression, 'Actions speak louder than words'. Her daily acts of kindness and love have spoken so loudly to her students that years down the road they still come back to visit her. Sandy is an incredible person, per-son, friend, coworker and teacher," said one of her co-workers. When asked about Sutton, Sut-ton, a teammate related how one little boy told her at the beginning of the iv i;i i ' srjixri 491-8688 269 E. 400 S. : jurats,! ; r. year, "I wanted to have Ms. Sutton for second grade, but I got you." It made her laugh because even she wanted to have Ms? Sutton for second grade. A new teacher to the school remembered when she first walked into the building the first person to greet her was Sandy with open arms. She said, "As soon as she hugged me, I knew it would be alright." Sutton has mentored many cohorts, student teachers, interns and beginning be-ginning teachers on her FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC ; team. She;: has spent numerous nu-merous hours sharing her ideas, lesson plans and in helping in any way she can. Another teammate remarked that Sutton can even teach fellow teachers step-by-step in a kind and encouraging way. "Sandy would be the last person to seek recognition for everything she does, which makes her even more deserving of this award for her exemplary, attitude, service and masterful mas-terful teaching," said the principal.
