L , m,,-,, i,.. : " I Z. , , i j John Morris FIFTH GRADE ART CITY SCHOOL It was music to our ears when the Springville Jr. High orchestra came and played German, Hungarian, and heavy rock for the Fourth Fifth and sixth graders grad-ers at Art City Elementary. They started of the musical extravaganza with an intro from Mr. Tsugawa about music from the German composer Bach. Mr. Tsugawa also taught us about the different types of instruments. He said smaller, higher sound, bigger, lower sound. He also told us that to play the Bass you need to be athletic, like a run ner, and a good student. Mrs. Boone conducted many of the orchestra pieces. Then we had a real treat. The members of Springville High School Blue Grass band sang, fiddled and strummed their way through many exciting excit-ing songs. I asked Sarah Rose about what playing play-ing the violin was like. Sarah said, "It was hard at first bit got easier later." Many of the students said that orchestra orches-tra is a fun way to make friends.
