Youngreen is a prof essor in the Theater The-ater Arts Department at BYU and the author of several sev-eral books. His topic was the love story of Joseph and Emma Smith. After his conversion to the LDS church, Youngreen Youn-green developed a passionate pas-sionate interest in Joseph and Emma's lives and the Smith family. His interest in the family and his ability abil-ity to make friends led to his helping with the start of the Smith Family Organization. Orga-nization. Over the years Youngreen Youn-green has become known as an authority on the Smith Family. His books include "Reflections of Emma" and a two-volume set about Joseph and Emma. Tenor George Dyer to perform with IM Baroque Ensemble at SCERA A nationally -acclaimed opera tenor known for his powerful voice and excellent excel-lent dynamics will be the special guest soloist when the prestigious Utah Baroque Ba-roque Ensemble performs at the SCERA Center for the Arts in Orem on Saturday, Sat-urday, Mar. 24 at 7 and 9 p.m. George Dyer, who made his professional debut more than a decade ago with the New York City Opera, is a frequent guest artist for opera companies throughout through-out North America. The Utah Baroque Ensemble, founded in 1987, is a select se-lect chorale with approximately approxi-mately 32 members, which specializes in early period classical and sacred music mu-sic with an emphasis on the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. They are known for live performances of the highest quality featuring technically difficult pieces sung with amazing style and beauty, and generally in the original language, such as Latin or German. Reserved-seat tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors (65), children (3-11) and students (wID). She was 22 and Joseph was younger than she. In those days most young women were married by the age of 16. When Joseph asked for Emma's hand in marriage, Emma's father, Isaac Hale, objected. They had to elope in order to marry. This hurt Emma's father and damaged the good relationship rela-tionship she had with him. The couple then returned to Joseph's home where they lived for a time. One morning he woke her and said he was taking . her to a hill. It was then he retrieved the box with the gold plates. He told her she would be his scribe. Emma was never allowed to view the plates, and she never tried to uncover them. Emma had to live by faith, while Joseph saw and han- in August of 2005. Joseph and Emma had 11 children in their 17 years of marriage, and lost so many of them. It was very hard on both of them. Em-' ma's life was very 'difficult, 'diffi-cult, but she always knew the gospel was true. DUP Camp Arron Johnson The Aaron Johnson Daughters of Utah Pioneers had a lovely Valentine's luncheon at Alta Taylor's home. Her daughter, Barbara, Bar-bara, prepared a wonderful lunch. They thank both of them. The group enjoyed a lesson on the Mormon Battalion Bat-talion and cities in California. Califor-nia. Nine were present and they exchanged gifts.
