Call any of the above for further information. This is the third chapter of TOPS Club to be organized in Springville. Membership in the Monday night TOPS Club has grown so rapidly, that they are in the process of dividing the one club, TOPS-POW, and forming three separate chapters, chap-ters, of which Day-Light TOPS is the first to be organized. Arthur Boyers enjoy vacation Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Boy-er Boy-er have just returned from an enjoyable and educational three week's trip to Florida. They enjoyed such attractions as Silver Sil-ver Springs, Cypress Gardens, Singing Tower at Lake Wales, which was presented to America Amer-ica by Edward Bok. The orange groves, currently in bloom, scented the area for miles. The John F. Kennedy Space Center was intensly interesting. in-teresting. They were awed with Miami's sky-scrapers, Daytona Beach and the intriguing in-triguing Atlantic Ocean. They enjoyed the many interesting in-teresting historical sights in the old town of St. Augustine and also the Stephen Foster Memorial in White Springs, Florida. En route the Boyers traveled travel-ed 6,084 miles through 12 states and enjoyed many attractions at-tractions and places of interest. They attended church in New Orleans, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Phyllis Boyer) Rooney and son, Patrick in the Ozarks in Arkansas. They stopped at Memphis, Term., and watched activities on the Mississippi Mis-sissippi River, visiting Baton Rouge, Tallahasse, Jacksonville, Bellingrath Gardens in Mobile, Miss. They saw President Eisenhower's Ei-senhower's home and museum at Abilene, Kansas, the capitol grounds at Denver, the old Alamo Al-amo in San Antonio, Albuquerque, Albuquer-que, New Mexico, en route home. . Faits Bien Club holds meetings Guest night was held by the Faits Bien Federated Women's Club at the Community Service Center, recently. Mrs. Verl Whiting entertained with her mudc boxes, which she displayed dis-played and gave the history of each. Nominations for officers were held in the following club meeting, after which members were entertained with a program pro-gram given by Vonnie Leetham on hair styles. Bonnie York' was the hostess for the meeting meet-ing which was at her home. A female cat becomes an adult at five to eight months of age. A program of the life and music mu-sic of Igor Stravinsky will be given by Mrs. Edward, Forshccr, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Story, nee Gloria Barker Art tour, business discussed by club The Cultural Arts Club enjoyed en-joyed a tour through the art museum with Margaret Pehr-scn Pehr-scn as their guide. Mrs. Pehr-son Pehr-son discussed many of the special spe-cial features of the pictures and told of the new and up-to-date atmosphere of the gallery and display used this year. The members later assembled in the evening at the home of LaVern Larsen. A short business busi-ness meeting was held under the direction of President Lois J. Child. The house to house art membership drive was discussed dis-cussed in which the club will participate. They will also buy tickets to support the high school production of "Camc-lot" "Camc-lot" and participate ;n tru annual an-nual A:t Tea and the Utah Federation of Women's Convention Conven-tion to be held the 1aner jiart of April and first of May. The next meeting will be at the home of LaReah Twelves, where Paul Forster, artist, will discuss art. the Week' LaNell Weight, daughter of Nolan and Alleen Weight, has been chosen to bear the title of "Senior Student of the Week" from SHS this week. LaNell is participating In the honors porgram and maintains a 3.67 grade-point average. She is an active member of the senior class and of the student body as a whole. She is currently serving as president presi-dent of the Steno Club. She has been a member of the Girls' Athletic Association and the Pep Club. LaNell is also a member of the National For-ensics For-ensics League in which she holds a degree of honor. LaNell is an active memebr of the LDS Church. She graduated grad-uated from the seminary program pro-gram last year and is now enrolled en-rolled in the fourth-year program. pro-gram. LaNell has earned five Individual Awards in her MIA activities. She enjoys spending her spare hours with her hobbies, sewing and reading. LaNell will attend Ricks College Col-lege next year, majoring in business education. A reception was held in the Springville Stake House following fol-lowing the ceremony and given by the bride's parents. For the reception, the bride was gowned in a floor-length, over-all lace dress with an oval neckline, full skirt and long, pointed sleeves. Her full-length veil was of bride's illusion and was attached to a peral-trim-med petal headpiece. Her flowers flow-ers were white daisies with a yellow gold ribbon streamer. The bride was attended by Gloria Strawsburg, Lora and Susan Memmott, Jan Bredeson, Karen Barney. They were dressed in floor-length dresses of yellow satin. Their flowers were yellow single mums with a yellow ribbon streamer. Mothers Mo-thers of the bride and groom were both gowned in street-length street-length dresses of blue. Their corsages were white daisies. Best man duties were performed per-formed by Jim Collins. Greeting guests were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Barker, Robert Rob-ert Barker, Bill Barney. Ushers were Michael Barker and Mont Barney. At the guest register were Patricia Barker and Kathy Bredeson. Wilma and Judy Barker and Edith Hiatt attended the gift room. Serving was done by Patricia Bredeson, N e d r a Danielson, Ruth Bartlett, Linda Christen-sen, Christen-sen, Lynette Gardner. A beautiful three-tiered wedding wed-ding cake was decorated with daisies and lace trimmed pillars pil-lars between the layers and topped with miniature wedding bells. It was mirrored on a revolving re-volving stand on a full-skirted covered table. The new Mr. and Mrs. Story are making their home in Ely. beach, deep sea fishing, touring the primative village of Yelapa, sight-seeing and enjoying the Mexican way of life. Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson, and Dr. Swenson were successful in their fishing, catching a bcau-tifur bcau-tifur 140-150 pound sailfish. Twins a girl and a boy to Duaine and Wilma Fullmer Williams, April 2 at the Utah Valley Hospital. The new arrivals ar-rivals have three sisters. Mr. and Mrs. William W. Fullmer and Mrs. Kate Williams are excited grandparents. Girl, April 2 to Rolan and Linda Johnson Senior at Santa Clara, Utah. Grandparents are Mrs. Fern Senior and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Johnson of Burley, Idaho. Girl, April 3, to Mr. and Mrs. ElCen Guy Wilson at the Pay-son Pay-son Hospital. Art tour enjoyed by Home Culture Club Mrs. Clair Judd entertained the Home Culture Club Friday afternoon in the Little Theater In the art museum. A luncheon was served to 31 members and guests. Mrs. Don Watts led in the salute to the flag. Club collect was read by Mrs. Harrison Har-rison Conover. Special musical n u m bers were given by Brenda Judd and Diann Hatfield, who sang a duet accompanied by Mrs. Maurice Bird. Paul Forster, lo cal artist and member of the art board, conducted the group through the galleries. Business handled during the meeting included a vote to assist as-sist in financing an art queen for Art City Days and also contribute toward sending the girls to Girls' State. Assignments Assign-ments were given to each member mem-ber for the art membership drive being conducted this week. Guests for the enjoyable meeting and art tour included, the Misses Effie Kelsey, Brenda Bren-da Judd, Dlann Hatfield, Susan Jrdd, Marsha Judd, Kathleen Card, Michelle Smoot. Also attending at-tending were Mrs. Tbm Judd, Mrs. Xtark Berkhimer, Mrs LaMar Weight. Jeune Mere enjoys art museum tour Annual visit to the Springville Spring-ville Art Museum was enjoyed by members of the Jcane Merc Club last week with Paul Forster, For-ster, local artist exhibiting in the show and member of the art board, p.s their guide. Following the tour through tho galleries, the club members assembelcd at the home of Olive Bray, where President Amy Klauck conducted a short business meeting. Refreshments were served. ' Aureole Club enjoys art museum tour Instead of the regular meeting meet-ing of the Aureole Club, 14 members met at the art gallery, gal-lery, and were part of a tour taken through by artists, Paul Fcrster, who presented a most interesting program on art. He told of several artiste with whem he had visited, and knew personally, and of their work and methods of painting. T. Camille Fox, Stephen Laker plan June wedding in Logan Choosing the popular' month of June for her wedding is Miss Camille Fox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin J. Fox, who will exchange wedding vows with Stephen A. Laker, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. II. Laker of Fremont, California. The couple will be married June 4 in the Logan Temple Tem-ple and a reception will follow on June 5 at Springville Museum of Art. . The bride-elect graduated from Springville High School and four-year LDS Seminary program. She is a junior in home economics education at Brigham Young University and will graduate in June, 1971. She is also employed at BYU. Mr. Laker is a graduate of Brookhaven High School, Columbus, Ohio, and is a junior at BYU majoring in economics. econ-omics. He plans to graduate in June of 1971 and continue his education in the law field. Presently he is employed in Provo. Lady Lions list new officers at Mapleton The Mapleton Lady Lions met last Thursday in the new city building with President Sheilah Merrywea ther in charge. The mother-daughter party, which will be held at the Sage Inn, May 7, was the main topic for the evening. Mrs. Ray Whiting and Mrs. Broadie Jones were welcomed into the group. Elections were held for the coming year: Mrs. Keith (Gay-lehe) (Gay-lehe) Roy lance, president; Mrs.-Cleon Mrs.-Cleon (Delia) Christensen, first vice president; Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Marshal, second vice president; Mrs. Danny (Barbara) (Bar-bara) Murry, secretary.
