Show Marriner Eccles Addresses Contractors; Nominations Made At Dinner-Meet v taken to curb the present economical econom-ical crisis. An entertaining floor show was also presented' as part of the entertainment en-tertainment program. In charge of general arrangements arrange-ments for the Springville meeting was Bert Strong. Harold Whiting was special guest chairman and "H. T. Reynolds was in charge of the banquet which was served by the Legion Auxiliary. Program arrangements were in charge of Cornell Clyde and Hal Clyde acted as toaastmaster during dur-ing the dinner. v Approximately 350 contractors, members of the Associatead General Gen-eral Contractors of America, inter-mountain inter-mountain branch and their guests, attended thea annual December banquet at Springville Memorial Hall, Monday evening. At a business meeting preceding the dinner, nominations for officers offi-cers of the association, for the coming year, were made and the date set for -the annual election to take place at the president's dinner-dance in Salt Lake City January Jan-uary 12. Walter Christiansen of Salt Lake City was the only nomination nomina-tion for the office of president of the association for the coming year, being moved up from the position po-sition of vice-president. Other nominations included, Harold Whiting of Springville and Bill Nelsen of Logan for vice-president; G. M. Paulsen for secretary. Named as directors from this section of the state were Taylor Reynolds and Cornell Clyde. Several resolutions were passed during the business meeting including in-cluding one of devotion and sympathy sym-pathy in behalf of the families of five member contractors who have passed away during the past year. Marriner Eccles, Ogden banker, was the speaker during the banquet, ban-quet, discussing inflation and outlining out-lining what measures might be |
