Show ARMISTICE DAY OBSERVED AT HIGH SCHOOL George S. Ballif Tells of Inter-! esting Experiences at the Front Armistice day was observed at the Springville high school Wednesday afternoon with, an appropriate program pro-gram in the auditorium which was welt attended by citizens, patrons of the school and students. . . Principal E. E. Knudseu was in cha rge. George S. Billif, judge of the Provo City court, gave a very interesting in-teresting talk, relating his personal experiences at the front. He gave a vivid description of the advance of the 11)1 division of which he was a member through the Argonue forest for-est and related how the news of the signing of the Armistice was received by the soldier boys. : Musical numbers were given by the high school orchestra. Miss Maurine Olson gave a reading "in Flanders Field" ; Elmo Coffman sang "The Flag AVithout a Stain" and was acompanied by M. L. Done on the cello and Josephine Sanford on the piano. . |
