After lianding in resumes, the girls were honored at a brunch Saturday morning at the Art Museum. All of the candidates were introduced and conducted on a tour of the Art Museum by assistant curator. Tara Christensen delights friends with piano recital Tara Christensen, daughter of Lee and Jeanene Christensen of Mapleton, presented a delightful piano recital to her friends and relatives on Friday, March 12. Tara played several-pieces several-pieces by James and Jane Bastien, one of which, "Lonely," she also sang, tara also played her own composition, "Scale Boogie," as well as three of the Primary songs, "Oh, How Lovely Was The Morning," "Familes Can i:Be Together Forever," and "Kindness Begins With Me," which was sung by Christopher Christensen and Sarah Francom. Planners dear annex request City planners, at their last meeting on March 9, heard a request from Robert Frzier concerning the Cottonwoods Addition annexation. Frzier requested four acres of property be annexed. The properties included are owned by Phillip and Lorraine Washburn and Mary Carnesecca. A group of subdivision lot owners in the Hobble Creek Estates subdivision were in attendance at this meeting. The Planning Commission Com-mission reviewed the annexation plat map with Mr. Frazier : and requested that he attempt to include a triangular piece of property owned by Kent Wheeler in the annexation request. The Commission also recommended that the obituaries Mary K. Engle Mary Katz Engle, 56, l.llil South Main, Springville. died March 22. 1!2. at her daughter's home in Springville. She was born in South Bend Indiana. January 4, 1926, the daughter of Victor and Viola Lackey Katz. She had two previous marriages and then married Clemen Engle on March 6. l2. in Seattle Washington. She was raised in Michigan and Florida, and became a licensed iK'autician. She lived in Seattle while raising her family, moving to Springville in 1964. She worked in the restaurant business for many years, most recently at the T-bone T-bone Cafe in Springville. She enjoyed stock car racing and sponsored many cars at Suntana Raceway. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of Springville, and one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Shah) Stika of Springville; one sister, Mrs. Vera Vaughn Meador of Summerville Texas; three grandchildren. grand-children. Alta Huff Shoenfeld Alta Huff Shoenfeld, 71, of Payson, died Tuesday, March, 16, 1982 at Mountain View Hospital. " She was born April 27, 1910, in ' Lake Shore, a daughter of Joseph Samuel and Elizabeth-Watson Elizabeth-Watson Ferguson Huff.' She married Arthur James Shoenfeld "on March 28. 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Dec. 29. 1963. He is currently reporter for the FFA and has been elected to the office of vice-president of FFA for the next school year. His hobbies are hunting and fishing and he likes to put models together.
