Show FUNERAL HELD AT BOUNTIFUL FOR LOCAL RESIDENT A. Alexander (Alex) Moss, 72, a resident of this city since 1945, died at his home Thursday of cardiac car-diac asthma. He was born June 6, 1874. in Woods Cross, Davis county, a son of John and Emma A. Alexander Moss. Following his marriage to Annie Jones Jan. 25, 1899, in the Salt Lake temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a mission in the central states. He was later bishop'of the Mercer LDS ward, from 1913 until 1945, when he retired as foreman for the Deseret Livestock Co. Since that time he had lived in Springville. ' Survivors include his widow, seven sons and daughters, Mrs. Cynthia Tingey, Springville; Reed Moss, Orem; Mrs. Rita Rex, Randolph; Ran-dolph; Ira Moss, Bingham; Mrs. Vanice Stewart, Woodruff; Elmer Moss, Evanston, Wyo.; Mrs. Eliza Robinson, Laketown, Rich county; 26 grandchildren; two brothers, David A. Moss and Stephen A. Moss. Woods Cross, and a sister, Mrs. E. R. Grant, Bountiful. Funeral services were conducted in the South Bountiful LDS ward chapel. Burial was in Bountiful. |
