Show "Couple Take Wedding Trip To Northwest Among weddings of the early fall season was that of Miss Avis Thompson of this city, and Micheal Gerbich of Bingham, who exchanged nuptial vows in a double ring v ceremony Tuesday evening, at the home of the bride's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Felix. The ceremony was performed by Bishop Oliver Dalton of the Second ward, in the presence of immediate family members of the bride and bridegroom and close friends. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Melissa Thompson of Springville and Mr. Gerbich is a son of Mrs. Steffie Gerbich of Bingham. Attired in a beautiful gown of white lace and net, the bride also wore a floor-length veil of lace net fashioned to her head with a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of rosebuds and gardenias. gar-denias. Attending her as maid of honor was Miss Leah Lindsey of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Ivan Felix was matron of honor and Pete Gerbich, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The bride is a graduate of the local high school and the Brigham Young university, and has been teaching in South Bountiful and making her home in Salt Lake City. Mr. Gerbich is a World War TJ veteran, recently given his discharge, dis-charge, following service in the South Pacific. After their marriage, the couple left on a wedding trip to the Northwest. Upon their return, they plan to make their home in Bingham. Bing-ham. MRS. FAY CRANMER WAS FIDELITY CLUB HOSTESS Progressive cards and a nicely arranged lunch were enjoyable features of the party for Fidelity club members held last Friday evening, at the home of Mrs. Fay Cranmer. Prizes for the evening's games were awarded to Mrs. Floss Cates, Mrs. Margie Davis and Mrs. Mary Clegg. Mrs. Bernice Cranmer was a special guest at the party. BIRTHDAY DINNER HONORS MOTHER Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Eves entertained enter-tained at a birthday dinner on Sunday at their home complimenting compliment-ing Mrs. Eves' mother. Covers were arranged for Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Spalding and Miss Beth Spalding and the guest of honor from Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Eves and their family. Since the Wrights' flight, aviation avia-tion has been put to music for bands, orchestras, ballets, chorals, and instrumental solos, not to mention several dozen World War II popular songs. |
