Show Young Couple Honored at Wedding Reception In First Ward Thursday w , , w Approximately 300 relatives and friends extended congratulations congratula-tions and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Mason (the former Evelyn Davis) at a reception held Thursday evening in the First ward. The young couple were married Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple. tem-ple. At the reception the bride wore a white silk net gown with fingertip fin-gertip veil caught to her head, with a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds and lillies. An oyster supper was served early, after which miscellaneous games were played. Club members present were Mr. and Mrs. Don Evans of Spanish Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hone, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Barker, Mr. and Mrs. Tadd Giles, and Bessie Gour-ley, Gour-ley, Zelma Barker and Alice Averett Aver-ett were special guests. PAULA CLEMENTS ENTERTAINS CLUB Miss Paula Clements entertained entertain-ed members of her club at her home Sunday afternoon. Games were played, after which a delicious luncheon was served by the hostess. CANYON DINNER ENJOYED BY FRIENDS Mr. and Mrs. Glen Webb, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hone, and Mr. and Mrs. Tad Giles enjoyed a canyon dinner Sunday in Hobble Creek canyon. Davis, a sister of the bride, and Miss Elaine Bird, were bridesmaids. brides-maids. Each was attired in a pastel pas-tel gown and wore a corsage of rosebuds and sweet peas. McKay Allred of Provo was best man. Mrs. Woodrow Thompson was acting hostess, assisted by Lester Mason, brother of the bridegroom, and Mr. Thompson. In charge of serving was Mrs. Ford Burt, Mrs. Grant AUeman, Mrs. Lawrence Rowland, Mrs. Frank Paxman, and Mrs. Jack Curtiss. Mrs. Mary Smart had charge of the gift room, assisted by Morris Dallin. The couple plan to make their home in Springville. LEGION AUXELIABY FETES CHARTER MEMBERS . Under the direction of President Ada Barron, members of the Legion Le-gion Auxiliary held their regular monthly meeting Wednesday evening eve-ning and enjoyed a special program pro-gram honoring the charter members mem-bers of the unit. - A talk on membership was given giv-en by Mrs. Sarah Sterling of Pay-son, Pay-son, district president. Miss Veloy Singleton entertained with a reading read-ing and Dick Neill gave an instrumental instru-mental solo, accompanied by Mrs. Bell Thomas. In conclusion tasty refreshments were served to 42 members and guests, with Mrs. Hazel Roylance, Mrs. Cecil Robertson and Mrs. Thelma Cherrington acting as hostesses. hos-tesses. CLUB ENTERTAINED AT CRANDALLS Mrs. Gregg Crandall entertained entertain-ed members of her club at a party Friday night at her home. The evening was spent sewing and socially conversing, after which a delicious luncheon was served to the following: Mrs. Mel-ba Mel-ba Harrison, Mrs. Leah Huff, Mrs. Lois Johnson, Mrs. Blanche Palmer, Pal-mer, Mrs. June Gale. Mrs. Pearl Smith, Lois Thorn, and Mrs. Milton Milt-on Giles was a special guest. BUSY FINGERS CLUB ENTERTAINED Mrs. Charles Porter was hostess hos-tess to members of the Busy Fingers Fin-gers club at her home Thursday afternoon. An informal discussion of etiquette, eti-quette, together with sewing, were enjoyed and the hostess served luncheon to the following: Mrs. Arvil Bird, Mrs. Frank Cranmer, Mrs. Lloyd Bird, Mrs. Merle Sargent, Sar-gent, Mrs. Bertrum Dallin, Mrs. Bill Hansen of Payson, Mrs. El-den El-den Beardall, Mrs. Max Huff and Mrs. Cecil Wilding, the latter two being special guests. |
