Show Reception Compliments Couple Wedjn Temple Rites at Manti O-.c of the preUiest and largest attended wedding receptions ' Mason complimented newlyweds. Candelabra and huge baskets of flowers comprising compris-ing orchid stalk and white and Pink gladioli tied with orchid ribbon rib-bon decorated the foyer of the church and summer flowers were arranged throughout. The bride's veil was finger-tip length fashioned to her head with a. lace cap and wreath of lillies-of-the-valley. She held a georgeous bouquet of white rose-buds centered center-ed with an orchid from which fell knotted satin streamers. Attending the bride as maid of honor was her cousin, Catherine Ann Holley, who wore pale green and her bridesmaids, Nina Barney, Joy Fullmer, Joan Miner, Maxine Packard and Geraldine Wiscombe wore identical -. frocks of orchid organdy and carried nosegays of white and pink carnations. Little Cheryl Holley, niece of the bride, was flower girl attired in a dainty yellow formal and carried a tiny basket of flowers. Norman Graves did best man duties for the groom and -others in the receiving line included parents par-ents of the newlyweds and the groom's sister. Mrs. Holley wore a gray formal and Mrs. Beverly B. Clark, who stood with her father, chose rose and black. Their corsages were white and pink carnations. car-nations. A delightful program entertained entertain-ed the guests during the evening, with Lynn Hanks acting as master mas-ter of ceremonies. The Misses Glida Ann Packard and Merie Fry gave a vocal duet, accompanied by Miss Monta Ford. Mrs. Ileen Bird entertained with violin numbers, num-bers, accompanied by Mrs. Mary Bird. Jane Harrison gave piano numbers; Mrs. Nelda Christensen and Mrs. Leah Webb, vocal duet, accompanied by Mrs. Mary Bird. Mrs. Rea Straw gave a toast to the bride and George Bird, to the groom. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Harrison assisted as-sisted in receiving the guests; Mrs. Lois Holley was in charge of the guest book and Ray Clark, Lamar Holley and Russell Holley were ushers. The beautiful trousseau exhibited exhib-ited in one large room, was in charge of Mrs. Mary Whiting. Serving was on small tables, directed by Mrs. Milton Harrison, assisted by Mrs. Arvilla Carter, Mrs. Helen Measom, Mrs. Pearl Holley, Mrs. Alga Mackley, Mrs. Esther Hurst and Mrs. Martha Whiting. Friends of the bride also served, including the Misses Marion Mar-ion Bird, Monta Ford, Pat Bills, Mary Mendenhall and Marilyn Whiting. Arranging the gifts were, Mrs. Gene Averett, Mrs. Loyd Bird, Mrs Janet Robertson, Marilyn Holley, Lola Holley, Mrs. B. F. Krause and Leah Holley. After the reception the couple left on a few days wedding trip to the canyons of Southern Utah. The bride chose an all white linen suit with white accessories for her going away outfit. The newlyweds returned the latter part of last week and are now making their home on South Main street. |
