S a n f o r d, Springville and Mark Whiting, Las Vegas, Nev. twins; Ray W. Whiting Whit-ing Ogden; Mrs. Marjorie W. Fullmer, Blackfoot, Ida and Jack 'E. Whiting, Las Vegas, Nev. There are also 24 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. I Fifty years of happy wedded life will be observed by Mr. and Mrs. John H. Whiting Sunday February 22, when on Open House Reception will be given in their honor at the home of a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jess H. Whiting, 1340 East Center St., from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. An invitation is extended ex-tended to relatives and friends of the couple to call during the afternoon. after-noon. They request no gifts. Life long residents of Springville Spring-ville with exception of a few years in Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Whiting have taken active part in community commun-ity and church affairs and have made a host of friends through the years. They were married February 25, 1903 in Springville and their marriage mar-riage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Whiting, born in Springville, Spring-ville, August 7, 1881 is a son of pioneers William and Mary A. Hall Whiting. He has followed the occupations oc-cupations of farming and cattle-raising cattle-raising most of his life and for nine years operated a ranch in Richfield, Idaho. He also served a term on the Springville city council. Mrs. Ella Clegg Whiting was also born in Springville, October 26, 1884, a daughter of Israel and Verona A. Clegg. She has been a Relief Society teacher more than 30 years and is a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Camp Springville.. Both Mr. and Mrs. Whiting have worked on the Springville Old Folks committee many years and are members of the Black Hawk Indian War Veterans committee at present.
