Show TO CELEBRATE 60TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY John and Carolina Holm Barney, Utah pioneers and residents of this community the past 32 years, celebrated cele-brated their sixtieth wedding anniversary an-niversary Sunday, with a social at their home. A large number of relatives attended the entertainment. entertain-ment. Mr. Barney was born at Council Bluffs, Iowa, on February 26, 1853, a son of John and Abigal Washburn Wash-burn Barney. He came to Utah when he was six months old. The family lived at Stlt Lake City for a time and then went to Spanish Span-ish Fork. Mr. Barney lived there until coming to Springville. He is a Black Hawk Indian War veteran. Born in Savy, Denmark, on June 6, 1855, Mrs. Barney came to Utah in 1873. as a convert to the L. D. S. church. She lived in Spanish Span-ish Fork during her early life, coming to Springville with her husband in 1903. The couple was iharried in the Endowment house, Salt Lake City, June 2, 1875. They J are among the few couples in this community who have reached the sixtieth year of wedded life. They have nine children, 35 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. , |
