Hatch, who will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their marriage with a family dinner din-ner at noon and Open House for their friends in the evening even-ing of Friday, April 7, at the Springville Stake House. Open house, family dinner marks golden wedding for couple Apr. 7 few years ago. She has been a counselor in both MIA and Primary and was a Primary president at Santaquin several years. Their sons and daughters are: Farrell Hatch of St. George; Mrs. Frank (Lula) Campbell of Mesa, Ariz.; Lyle Hatch of Riverside, Calif.; Mrs. Lew (Arlene) Jones of San Francisco; Darrell Hatch of Rupert, Idaho and Mary Gay Hatch, a teacher in Salt Lake. There are also 23 grandchildren grand-children and one great grandchild grand-child all planning to be here for the Golden Wedding. All six of the sons and daughters of Wm. Arthur and Mary O. Hatch are coming home to help their parents celebrate their Golden Wedding Wed-ding Friday, April 7. A family dinner for children and grandchildren will be held at noon and in the evening, from 5:30 until 9:30 p.m., an Open House is planned for all relatives, friends and neighbors at the Springville Stake House. The couple requests no gifts. Married at Tropic April 17, 1911, Mr. and Mrs. Hatch traveled two weeks later to Salt Lake City where the marriage mar-riage ceremony was solemnized in the temple and Mr. Hatch left on a two-year LDS mis- sion to the Southern States. The young bride returned to the home of her parents and a job as a store clerk, looking forward each day to another trip to Salt Lake City to meet her husband. After his return, they lived at Tropic about five years and then moved to Delta, thence to Payson and then to Santaquin, Santa-quin, where they spent eight years before coming to Springville Spring-ville in 1930. Mr. Hatch followed the occupation oc-cupation of farming and freighting cattle in his earlier life and during the 15 years the family lived on South Main, he operated a farm at Mapleton. They have resided at 978 East Center since 1945 and Mr. Hatch is presently bailiff at the county court house. Born at Cannonville, Garfield Gar-field County, February 1, 1890, Mr. Hatch was a son of pioneers pio-neers John H. and Elizabeth Davis Hatch. He served as Sunday School superintendent at Santaquin and was in the Seventh ward bishopric. He has filled a stake mission since coming to Springville and is interested in-terested in genealogy. He holds the position of High Priest. Mrs. Hatch, born at Virgin City, Washington County, July 29, 1890 was a daughter of early settlers, David B. and Hannah H. Ott. She has held positions in practically all auxiliary aux-iliary organizations of the church and has filled a stake mission. She was Seventh ward Relief Society president only a |
