Pleasant, recited marriage vows with Earl Nelson Sumsion, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Ray Sumsion of Springville, in a ceremony performed by Bishop Ferrell C. Lazenby of Mt. Pleasant in the Second-Third Ward, December 18. Following the marriage, a reception re-ception hosted by parents of the bride, was held at the church. For her wedding attire, the charming young bride chose a gown of lace over tafetta designed de-signed with a train in the back, full floor-length skirt and long sleeves. Her veil was fingertip finger-tip and she carried a bridal bouquet of red roses and white carnations. Attending her as maid of honor, was her sister, Nancy Johansen, while Judy Beck of Springville and Susanne Ogden of Richfield, were bridesmaids. Kate Sumsion, sister of the groom and Janet Johansen, sister of the bride, were junior bridesmaids. They wore red gowns accented by corsages of white chrysanthemums . and holly berries. Dale Clark of Springville was best man Others in the receiving line were parents of the couple, Mrs. Johansen choosing a biege dress for her daughter's reception recep-tion and Mrs. Sumsion, a bright blue suit. Their corsages were white carnations and holly hol-ly berries. At the guest register was NEWLYWEDS Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sumsion, now at home in Logan after December wedding, reception in Mt. Pleasant. her junior year at Utah State University. Mr. Sumsion is a graduate of LDS Seminary and Springville Spring-ville High School, where he was a member of the a cappel-la cappel-la choir and year book photographer. photog-rapher. He attended BYU and graduated from Snow College and the Institute of Religion, before going to USU, where he is in his senior year majoring in socialogy. Voneal Jensen. Gladys Seely, Glennis Averett and Claudia Smart were in charge of the gifts, assisted by Richard Johansen Jo-hansen and Randy McArthur. Ernest Johansen and George Johansen, brothers of the bride were ushers. The couple are now at home in Logan, where both are enrolled en-rolled at the USU. The bride graduated from North Sanpete High School and LDS Seminary and also from Snow College and the Institute of Religion. She is presently in |
