Show Recent Bride Is Honored At Teacher's Party Complimenting Mrs. Merle Allan, Al-lan, the former Miss Eleanor Mat-ley Mat-ley of Spanish Fork, elementary grade school supervisor, who was married to Dr. Allan recently, teachers tea-chers in the Springville elementary grade schools entertained at a lovely party at Chicken Roost on Tuesday evening of the past week. The dining table was arranged in a T-shape and held a beautiful centerpiece of lavender sweet peas and daffodils with tall white tapers tap-ers on either side. Corsages were placed as favors at each plate and little individual wedding cakes emphasized em-phasized the -spring colors of yellow yel-low and green. Mrs. Rea Straw introduced Mrs. Mary Schwartz as mistress of ceremonies and she announced the following program numbers: vocal solo, Mrs Catherine D. Wills, accompanied ac-companied by Miss Cora Gardner; reading, Mrs. Cecil Robertson; ac-cordian ac-cordian selection. Miss Gardner, a stunt, "The Bride's Pie", by Mrs. Ellen Anderson. In charge of arrangements for the party were: Mrs. Rea Straw, Miss Dorothy Harmer, Miss Hannah Han-nah Barker, Mrs. Ellen Anderson, Mrs. Cecil Robertson, Mrs. Bess Lewis, Miss Myrtle Childs, Mrs. Mabel Hopla and. Miss Mary Ann Hansen. Attending the dinner party besides be-sides those mentioned, were: Mrs. Jennie Clyde, Mrs. Faye Bearn-son Bearn-son of Spanish Fork, Mrs. Lucy R. Johnson of Eureka, Mrs. Ruth Whiting of Mapleton all of whom had worked with the guest of honor, hon-or, also her mother, Mrs. Annie Matley of Spanish Fork and Mrs. Zola Gogarty. Mrs. Margaret Blackett, Mrs. LaRue Walker, TVTioo T nla t? The group presented the bride with a nice piece of luggage and also gave her mother the pretty floral centerpiece |
