" f Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gividen Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gividen To Mark Golden Wedding Anniversary Sunday . Honoring Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gividen of Mapleton on the occasion of their golden wedding, open house will be held at the home of a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Vance Gividen, at Mapleton, on Sunday, January 2, from 2 p. m. to 7 p. m. An invitation is extended to all relatives rela-tives and friends of the couple to call during the time. Mr. and Mrs. Gividen came from their native Kentucky home in December, 1905, as converts to the LDS church. They lived in Springville about five years and then moved to Mapleton, where Mr. Gividen operated a fruit farm. Previously Pre-viously he had worked for the railroad, both while living here and in Kentucky. Both Mr. and Mrs. Gividen have taken active part in church and community affairs at Mapleton and have reared several children in addition to their own family. Mr. Gividen celebratecT his seventy-first birthday on December 3, and his wife, Mrs. Mary Alice Gividen, will be 68 on April 14 of next year. They were married in Kentucky Ken-tucky January 2, 1899. . Joining with Mr. and 'Mrs. Gividen to celebrate the wedding anniversary, in addition to their son Vance, will be their daughter, Mrs. Melvina Pulley, also Mrs. Ivan Lucas of Spanish Fork and Earl Gividen of Idaho. The couple also have nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. |
