Show Lorely ception Given For eisjly Wedded Couple Mr. and Mrs. Lee W. Davis announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, RaNae, to Clyde Stone, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stone of this city, which took place Thursday in the Salt Lake temple. Accompanying the young couple through the temple were Mr. and Mrs. Stone, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Floss Phillips, arid Mrs. Zelma Beardall. On Friday evening, the bride and groom were honored with a lovely wedding reception in the First ward amusement hall, to which approximately 300 relatives and friends were bidden. The bride was beautifully gowned gown-ed in a white satin wedding dress with lace insets. Her fingertip veil was lace-edged and held in place with a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of red rosebuds and white carnations. Maryn Davis, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore pink taffeta with rosebud and sweet pea corsage. Misses Lois Jonhson, LaRhea Nielson, Helen Graves and Loraine Dailey were bridesmaids and wore pastel formals with corsages in corresponding: colors. Max Morgan was best man. The receiving line included members of the bridal party, and Mr. and Mrs. Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Stone. Mrs. Woodrow Thompson and Mrs. Margaret Waid, sisters of the bride and groom, were acting hostesses. Assisting with the gifts and serving were Beverly Allen, Joyce Whiting-, Colleen Hurst, Norma Nell Straw, Phyllis Reynolds, Lela Rae and Joy Thorpe. Margaret Childs and Naomi Weight were in charge of the gift room and Valena Jones and Donetta Fry poured. The serving table was covered with a lovely lace cloth and centered cen-tered with a low bowl of rosebuds and tall tapers on either side. The reception featured a program pro-gram with Blaine Thorpe as toast-master, toast-master, followed by dancing and refreshments. The amusement hall and entrance were gorgeously decorated dec-orated with a profusion of summer flowers for the reception. The young couple are making their home in Springville. |
