Show Kay-oAverett Marriage Euent Of June 24 r Of interest to friends here is announcement of the marriage of Ronald Averett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ruel Averett of this city, and Artha Kay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Kay of Mona, former residents of this city. The marriage took place on Wednesday Wed-nesday and the couple plan to make their home in Provo, where Mr. Averett is employed with the Arden Dairy. Complimenting the bride, a miscellaneous mis-cellaneous shower was given on Saturday evening at the home of Mrs. Faye Haymond, sister of the groom. Assisting hostesses were Mrs. Ruel Averett, Mrs. Mabel Simkins, and Mrs. Norma Child. Mrs. Mae Huntington gave a review re-view of the book, "Claudia," to feature entertainment at the shower, show-er, which was attended by approximately ap-proximately thirty relatives. At the close of the entertainment, entertain-ment, a nicely arranged luncheon was served and the guest of honor opened her many lovely wedding gifts. Mrs. Kay, mother of the bride, also entertained at a delightful party for relatives at their home in Mona on Monday evening, and another party is also planned by Mrs. "Catherine Clements for the coming week. i MRS. ALEENE PARKER WAS COMPLIMENTED at a delightful party given by Mrs. Mary Schwartz at her home on Monday evening. She has been visiting vis-iting here from Tacoma, Wash. The group enjoyed Monte Carlo whist, for which high score prize was awarded to Lucy Roylance, and a delicious luncheon was served serv-ed by the hostess. Guests included. Mrs. Lucy Roylance, Roy-lance, Mrs. Florence Roylance, Mrs. Sarah Hutchings, Mrs. Priscilla LeRoy, Mrs. Mabel Hopla, Mrs. Ruth Reese, Mrs. Luell Best, Lucy; Roylance, Olive Childs, Helen Wheeler and the guest of honor. MRS. ESTHER HURST WAS HOSTESS FRIDAY to members of her 4-H sewing club. The girls cut out aprons. Present were Connie Warren, Mae Shimoda, Shirley Hansen, Lorna Brake, Venitta Mackley, Ruth Hol-ley, Hol-ley, Beth Perry, Joan Hurst, Va-lene Va-lene Thorn, Margene Hopla, and Erma Wheeler. A WEINER ROAST WAS GIVEN SATURDAY evening by a group of friends in Kelly's Grove. Games were also enjoyed. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Blain Miner, Mr. and Mrs. George Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fullmer, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Cherrington, and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Fullmer. |
