P., MET ON THURSDAY afternoon at the home of Mrs. Zel-ma Zel-ma Beardall, with Mrs. Jonene Fullmer, Mrs. Maggie Daley, Mrs. Grace Loveride, Mrs. Mae Bird and Mrs. Maude Ferguson, assisting hostesses. Approximately 30 were in attendance. Mrs. Florence Boyer, second vice-captain, was in charge of the meeting and gave a tribute to Mrs. Edward Gottfredson, a departed member. Mrs. Melinda Sumsion was released as class leader, and the D. U. P. pin was presented to her by Captain Flossie Sanford. Mrs. Edith M. Clayson succeeds Mrs. Sumsion and Mrs. Jeanette Ullock is the other class leader. The program also included a talk on the flag by Mrs. Eugene Bird, parliamentarian, who also conducted conduct-ed a salute to the flag. Mrs. Patience Pa-tience Clark gave a history of her parents during the afternoon and community singing was conducted. In conclusion tasty refreshments were served. |
