Show Bridal Showers Honored New Mrs. G. W. Metcalf Mrs. Wilby Metcalf, the former Helen Holley, was honored with two bridal showers last week following fol-lowing her recent marriage in California. Cal-ifornia. On Wednesday evening, here sisters-in-law, Mrs. Evelyn Bird, Mrs. Eloise Bird, Mrs. Lorna Condie, Mrs. Marilyn Fullmer and her sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. TJda Hansen of Spanish Fork and Mrs. Irma Sayer gave a shower at the Sayer home. Decorations of tulips in pink and white and pink flowering almond blossoms added a note of spring to the party. Guests were greeted greet-ed at the door by the bride; her mother Mrs. Dallas Holley, and Mrs. Evelyn Bird. Edna Nielson entertained with vocal numbers during the evening's program, accompanied by Monta Ford. Diana Allred gave dance numbers as did Pamela Jex of Spanish Fork. Gary White of Spanish Span-ish Fork gave readings; Lorna Condie, "recipes" to the bride and Marilyn Hansen gave piano numbers. num-bers. Mrs. Ella Creer and Mrs. Dona Jackson were in charge of the gift room. At the close of the party refreshments re-freshments were served to approximately approx-imately sixty five guests. The folowing evening, sisters of the bride, Uda Hansen and Irma Sayer and Mrs. Elaine Child and Irma Pope gave a party for close friends at the latter's home. Monte Carlo Whist and a short program were features of entertainment. enter-tainment. There was a musical reading by Betty Anderson, accompanied accom-panied by Glen Law; piano selections, selec-tions, Marilyn Hansen of Spanish Fork; vocal solo, Mrs. Ellen Anderson. An-derson.
