For the Springville reception recep-tion the bride was attended by Esther Riddle as maid of honor, hon-or, Mrs. Ethel Phillips as matron mat-ron of honor, and Elaine Jones and Lynette M. Allan as bridesmaids. All were attired In pastel formals, and carried colonial bouquets of summer flowers. Golden Huff, brother to the groom, was best man. Also assisting the young couple in greeting their many friends were the parents of tie groom. At the door were Bishop and Mrs. Frank L. Berrett of the Fourth ward. During the reception, instrumental in-strumental music was furnished furn-ished by Mrs. Rex Johnson, Mrs. Lewis Bird, Mrs. Owen Rowe, Martha James and Katherine Rees. Mattle Hiatt, Ada Hiatt, Given Huff, LaRae Phillips, tmeta Ewell, Lee and Don Williams took charge of the gift room. Lyneer Smith of Duncan, teona, member of the origin-1 origin-1 Centennial mission quartet o'ganized by Mr. Huff, acted u master of ceremonies and introduced program numbers which included: Vocal solos by Gorman Dunn; a toast to the 'nde and groom by Mrs Ella Reynolds; readings by Mrs. We Schreiner; vocal solos ? Mrs. Lyneer Smith; read-toS read-toS by La Rae Phillips; vocal duets by Vera Zobell and Mel- ba Wheeler, and numbers from the Central Atlantic States mission quartet comprising LaVon Fife of Idaho Falls; Kay Barney, Salt Lakek City; Lyneer Smith, Duncan, Ariz., and Serge. The wedding march and several accompaniments were played by Mrs. Bliss Hoover. Dainty refreshments were served under the direction of Mrs. Hugh Roylance assisted by Norma Roylance, Janet Groesbeck, Lorna Nielson, Ann Patrick, Mary Palfreyman and Helen Johnson. The bride is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson high school at Richmond, Va. She attended the Pan American business college and for the past year has been employed as a bank teller in a Richmond bank. Serge is a graduate of Lincoln Lin-coln high school at Orem and attended BYU. He served two years in the navy and three years on two LDS missions. During recent weeks he has attended at-tended the Fred Waring summer sum-mer choral director's school in Pennsylvania and plans to resume his music studies at BYU. The young couple left Saturday Satur-day for a wedding trip through the Pacific northwest after which they expect to make their home in Springville for the time being. |
