Show To Wed Soon . . . i : i -for. : V' - v T,ii"frtiii7itftriiiirraitTii7i1-.TirtiTrttTH'fi'ii' -V b iriMlyn inula i immii mnin mi mmM n iF--""f--r"l- wm n Miss Wanda Gay Parks Clever "Western Round-Up" Theme Seen at "Do You Remember" Party Nearly fifty long-time friends and former students stu-dents of the Springville high school gathered at Kapps Melody Inn, Friday evening, for the annual, "Do You ton, Mrs. Gertrude Sumsion, Mrs. Lela Gailbraith, Mrs. Rhoda Groes-beck, Groes-beck, Miss Carol Bird, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Maude Holliday, Santa-quin; Santa-quin; Mrs. Myrtle Price of Orem; Mrs. Lois Clegg of Dugway; Mrs. Isabel Brown, Lehi and Mrs. Edna Belk of Shelton, Wash. Remember" party. The parties have become somewhat some-what traditional growing from a gathering of former students of the high school, who went on a swimming party some 21 years ago. Several years later, the group decided to increase the number and include other friends. The Friday evening dinner party was the eleventh annual summer get-together of the group. Clever decorations of sage-brush arranged about the room, with cowboys and their horses and baskets bas-kets of marigolds, golden-glow and sun-flowers on the tables, introduced intro-duced the Western Round-up theme. The group was called to dinner by the ringing of the old Washington Wash-ington school bell by Mrs. Cleo P. Heavener, an originator of the reunions. The past chairmen of the parties then sang an un-re-hearsed greeting song. Mrs. Melva S. Smith, chairman of this year's entertainment, welcomed those present and announced program numbers. , Community singing of western and cowboy songs was led by Mrs. Nell Condie with Mrs. Bell Thomas Tho-mas at the piano. Mrs. Philda Finley, Mrs. Floss Phillips and Mrs. Nell Condie in western attire, sang several appropriate ap-propriate western songs and Mrs. Myrtle Price of Orem gave a tribute tri-bute to the West. Entertaining pantomime numbers were given by Jean Smith, dressed as a cowboy and the program was concluded with square dances in costume with Mrs. Dolly Smith calling cal-ling and Mrs. Vonda Jensem, Mrs. Arlena Holley, Mrs. Jenny Clyde, Mrs. Zina Condie, Mrs. Nell Condie, Con-die, Mrs. Emma Kennedy, Mrs. Mae Child and Mrs. Manila Brown taking part. During a short business meeting, meet-ing, special tribute was paid Mrs. Isabel B. Brown of Lehi, one of the originators of the gatherings and a vote of thanks was given to the various committees assisting with the program. Mrs. Manila Brown was named chairman of the 1953 party. Attending from out of town were: Mrs. Jessie Arrowsmith, Mrs. Blanch Groneman, Mrs. Marie Lewis, Mrs. Farrel Weight, Elma Wagner of Provo; Mrs. Susan Winward, Mrs. J. W.
