Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Burt, nee Miss Yvonne Hurst, who are making their home in Springville following their marriage mar-riage in Salt Lake Temple and Wedding reception at Maple-ton. Maple-ton. Reception Honors Popular Couple After Salt Lake Temp e Ceremony Charming in every detail, was the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Burt, Friday evening in the Mapleton Chapel. They were married Thursday in the Salt Lake Temple by Raymond H. Clayton. Mrs. Burt is the former Yvonne Hurst, lovely daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Waldon D. Hurst and Rodney's parents are Mr. and Mrs.- Taylor C. Burt also of Mapleton. The newlyweds greeted their many friends and relatives standing in front of a lighted arch. For her wedding and reception recep-tion the bride wore a gown and veil of traditional white. The gown of chantilly lace and tulle underfaced with satin featured a tulle ruffle on the floor length skirt. The bodice was designed with scalloped neckline and long sleeves slimming to points over the wrists. Her veil of filmy bride's illusion cascaded to finger-tip length and was arranged to a dainty pill-box of seed-pearls. She carried a single white orchid or-chid surrounded by white carnations. car-nations. Matron of honor was Mrs. Margene Gottfredson, sister of the bride and the junior bridesmaid brides-maid was Susan Burt, sistervof the groom. Both were in pink afternoon frocks. The bridesmaids were sisters of the bride: Mrs. Colleen Lar-sen Lar-sen and Mrs. Joan Ertel. A sister-in-law, Mrs. Bernetta Hurst and a cousin, Nedra wnitney, were au. loveiy in turquoise linen afternoon frocks accented with white gardenia and feathered carnation bouquets. bou-quets. Duties of best man were performed per-formed by a brother of the groom, Kent Burt. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Hurst chose a gold brocade bro-cade and Mrs. Burt beige lace over satin. Each wore a corsage cor-sage of pink rose-buds and white gardenias. Greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. S. Lavell Bird, uncle and aunt of the bride; also Mrs. John Burt, grandmother and Mrs. Mae Huntington, aunt of the groom Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nelson of Provo presided at the guest book. Mrs. Barbara Murray supervised super-vised the serving, assisted by Mrs. Delna Cazier, Phyllis Johnson, Lenore Bills and Pat Perry. Serving were: Jackie Asay, Linda Asay, Judy Busk, Jane Busk, Karen Perry and Diane Bills. Arranging the gift displays were Mr. and Mrs. Duane Rowberry and Mr. and Mrs Lewis Frederickson. The young couple are both graduates of Springville high school and Seminary and have both attended the BYU. Rodney recently completed a 2-yr. mission in So. Australia and also six months in th'e army. He has also attended the USU at Logan and plans to resume his studies next fall. They are making their home in Springville. |
